NEW! In 2020, Savage residents can vote early or by absentee at the Savage City Hall. Ballots for absentee voting are available 46 days before an election. When voting early, you must request an absentee ballot by completing a Minnesota Absentee Ballot Application.
Vote early in person
You can vote early with an absentee ballot at either Savage City Hall, 6000 McColl Dr. or at the Scott County Public Works, 600 Country Trail W. in Jordan (Due to construction at the Scott County Government Center, in-person absentee voting as been temporarily relocated to their Public Works facility). If you are not registered, you can do so in person if you show proof of residence.
Vote early by mail
To vote my mail, request to have an absentee ballot mailed to you by sending a completed ballot application to Scott County Elections, 200 Fourth Ave. W., Shakopee, MN 55379. Return the paper ballot in person or mail it back to Scott County Elections so it arrives before Election Day.
If you are in the armed forces or outside the United States, you may vote by absentee ballot using the address where you last lived in Minnesota. A special application form is required, which you may obtain from Scott County Elections Division (952) 496-8560 or from the voting assistance officer in your military unit. Your parent, spouse, sibling, or child at least 18 years of age may also request an absentee ballot for you.
For additional voting information, including how to submit an absentee ballot application, visit the Secretary of State website. Questions regarding upcoming elections and voting procedures may be directed to the City Clerk at 952-882-2660.
