The Park Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance of 22 city parks, over 500 acres of parkland, and nearly 90 miles of trails and sidewalks. 

What we maintain:

  • Archery range
  • Athletic fields and turf for soccer, football, softball, baseball, and lacrosse
  • Basketball courts
  • Dog park
  • Downtown Savage public spaces and boulevard/median landscaping
  • Downtown holiday lights and decorations
  • Garbage and recycling removal
  • Green space and turf
  • Horseshoe pits
  • Irrigation maintenance and repairs
  • McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center
  • Nature areas
  • Outdoor hockey and recreational ice rinks
  • Public buildings and parking lots
  • Sand volleyball courts
  • Snow removal of sidewalks, trails, municipal sidewalks and parking lots, park parking lots, and streets
  • Tennis courts
  • The Savage Sports Center (Dome)
  • Trails and snow removal
  • Trees, weeds and landscaping
  • Warming houses, shelters, playground equipment
