Downtown Savage will be bustling on Thursday, Dec. 5 during the annual WinterFest celebration. From 5 to 8 p.m., residents and guests can make their way along 123rd Street, between Natchez and Princeton avenues, and welcome the incoming season by roasting marshmallows over an open fire or enjoying live music and performances. Residents may also peruse local shops that will open their doors for the event.
Around 6 p.m., local choirs will sing at the Savage Depot while awaiting the arrival of Santa – who will help Mayor Williams “magically” light the community tree at 6:15 p.m. Following the tree lighting, the WinterDazzle Parade will make its way down 123rd Street. Attendees also will find
activities and crafts for children, a business expo at Neisen’s, and an opportunity for a photo shoot with Santa.
