Our firefighters spend countless hours hosting and working at the various events throughout the year.
The Savage Fire Department has been very active in past Dan Patch Days celebrations. During the 2012 celebration we were not able to host the neighborhood water fights, due to the Public Works construction project, look for the water fights to return in 2013.
Pancake Breakfast & Open House
Held in conjunction with Dan Patch Days; at our Dakota Avenue Fire Station, this event is open to the general public and has been very successful. Approximately 800 people attend this event. 2013 will be our mark our 16th annual breakfast.
Fund-Raiser Dinner
The department sells 100 tickets for this event. Each ticket, for two, is $150. These tickets are most commonly purchased by business owners. There is a steak or chicken dinner and cash drawings are held. This event is typically held the second Monday of October.
Calendar
This fund-raiser was started in 1999. A committee was formed to sell advertising on a calendar. The firefighters hand deliver the calendars to the residents in Savage around Fire Prevention Week.
