  • Adopt-A-Park
    Protect and enhance Savage's parks,trails and open spaces by providing general care and maintenance.
  • Gardening and Landscaping
  • Spring and Fall Park Cleanup
    Assist with the freshening up of City parks by providing general care, painting, playground improvements, and tree/shrub trimming.

SPRING LAKE PARK FALL 2009 RESTORATION

Volunteers are needed to help remove buckthorn at Spring Lake Regional Park, located in the heart of Scott County. Individuals of all ages, families, community and corporate groups are welcome to participate. Pre-registration is required. For more information link to the document below.

CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CAC), LOWER MINNESOTA RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT

The Minnesota River Watershed District is seeking candidates for its Citizen Advisory Committee.

2010 US CENSUS

Volunteers needed to help ensure an accurate census on April 1, 2010. Work is now occurring towards this goal. Volunteers are needed for Complete Count Committees, which will participate in parades and festivals, answer questions, provide translations, and assist with the questionnaire. BIG BROTHER BIG SISTERS OF THE GREATER TWIN CITIES

Volunteer Position Title: Big Brother or Big Sister
(mentor to a young person)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (BBBS) needs adult volunteers. BBBS matches young people ages 7-13 with caring, adult mentors. Big Brothers and Big Sisters provide friendship, emotional support and hope to young people. Community-based mentors meet with their Little Brother or Sister two to four times per month at the locations of their choice. In this program, volunteers may choose the traditional one-to-one mentoring relationship, or they may sign up for the Big Couples/Colleagues or Big Families programs to engage their partner/spouse/co-worker and/or children in the experience. School-based mentors meet young people in their school for an hour once a week for focused activities, including reading, creating crafts, playing in the gym or simply talking. Assist staff with hands-on activities at Kids Kraft programs, last Saturday of each month. Training provided. Volunteer one, two or more dates!

Administrative Assistant

Help with administrative tasks such as mailings, answering phones, greeting visitors, assist visitors in the research library and with public tours. Training provided, flexible schedule.
