About Savage

Savage, located in Scott County, Minnesota, is a growing suburb distinguished by its convenient location, varied history, and lush surroundings. The community's oldest district sits on the banks of the Minnesota River. As the city has grown, development has occurred southward to settle on the bluffs overlooking the scenic Minnesota River Valley.

Perhaps known best for its ties to a famous racehorse from the early 20th Century, Savage is also regarded for its significant role in the grain distribution industry. Yet, it is not the history or the riverfront activity that tends to draw most people here. Many people say it was the community's beauty, its schools and its services that first caught their attention - and persuaded them to stay.
